Monmouth Sprint and Regatta 2005

Saturday 28th May and Sunday 29th May

Updated 10/06/2006

General information

The regatta was highly successful in 2004, running very well to schedule and receiving excellent praise on its organisation and safety from the Umpires.  With the new 2-day format introduced in 2004, many clubs took the opportunity either for a 'warm-up' 750m event on the Saturday (which started mid-morning to allow crews to arrive from more distant locations) before racing 1500m on Sunday or used the shorter event to gain race practice for their less experienced crews.  The event attracted crews from the South West, South East, Wales, Midlands and the Thames area.

We are delighted with the level of entries for this year's Monmouth Sprint and Regatta.  Unfortunately, we have had to disappoint a few crews as it is a key concern that we run both a safe regatta and a punctual one and the level of entries did not readily allow this.  We look forward to welcoming you to an excellent day's racing in Monmouth!

...FINAL DRAW FOR BOTH DAYS NOW ON-LINE BELOW...

DRAW TO BE POSTED/E-MAILED TO CLUB CONTACTS SHORTLY WITH THE SAFETY NOTES

CAN ALL CREWS PLEASE ENSURE THEY READ THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
(The web counter for this document never seems to get as high as the one for the draw itself...it would be good to see the notes read by all, it really does help racing on a full day)
