Club Pilates


Our club’s new pilates sessions have been incredibly well received with two full classes running on a Monday evening. The sessions are led by our resident rower, Fliss, affectionately known on the water as ‘Go Fast Fliss’.



It’s certainly a different pace at pilates where she encourages slow and strong movements all tailored to enhance strength and resistance needed for rowing. Not sure we buy in to her ‘this is fun’ mindset yet but we’re really thankful that Fliss has taken the time to start these pilates classes when she’s juggling work/year 3 of her Physiotherapy degree and of course rowing!



We’re all seeing the benefits and who knew that exercising with a child-size football (as the pics illustrate) could be so demanding.
