Recently the Committee agreed to donate some of our older blades (following our recent purchases and upgrades) and the old “Les Hayward” coxed four to Aberystwyth University Boat Club. This weekend the kit was delivered to the excited students.
But boats and oars are just the start. With Aberystwyth located many miles from any other fine boat rowing in Wales, MRC has also been able to facilitate an AUBC entry in our Winter Head by loaning equipment as their ability to transport boats is very limited.
We have also offered support for them to join us for our Summer Regatta. AUBC were very grateful for the donations and we wish them well with their rowing. And the view from their boathouse isn't bad either.
