Well done to all who took part in the Vets Virtual Head of the River Race this morning - it was great to see over 20 members taking on both the Tideway & all the other crews participating! Am sure we overtook a number of crews and might well have won our category - MasMx D-I 20+!!!!
Massive thanks to Kathryn for some fantastic coxing calls, positive encouragement & steering us safely down the busy course! In addition, thanks for the great visuals, with photos, videos etc to make the whole experience feel much more like the real event; appreciate all the time and effort that went into the preparation for the event.
Am sure everyone who took part is now enjoying not having derig boats, load trailer, queue for cold showers etc but instead making the most of sitting on comfortable chair with hot cup of tea/coffee!
The race today was a good warm up for a number of the Monmouth Wonder Women who are participating in Race the Thames this week. Good luck to you all, am sure you will have a great time & raise lots of money for 2 excellent causes.
